Terms of Service

You need an account to use most of the Service. You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent where you live) to create one. You're responsible for keeping your sign-in details and API keys secure, and for everything that happens under your account. Tell us promptly at support@lookuplater.app if you think your account has been compromised.

LookupLater lets you save questions and get answers later. When you submit a lookup, we may rewrite it into a search query, search the web, and use AI models to write an answer with sources. Answers are delivered in the app and, if you turn it on, in a weekly email.

We may change, add, or remove features at any time. We'll try to give notice of changes that significantly affect how you use the Service.

Answers are generated automatically and may be incomplete, out of date, or wrong. They are for general information only and are not professional advice (including medical, legal, financial, or safety advice). Check the cited sources and use your own judgment before relying on an answer. We don't control, and aren't responsible for, third-party websites that answers link to.

You agree not to:

• use the Service for anything illegal, or to seek help planning illegal activity;
• submit content that infringes someone else's rights, or that harasses, threatens, or exploits others;
• send spam or unsolicited messages through the SMS number or any other channel;
• access the Service by automated means beyond the published API, or exceed rate limits or usage limits we set;
• probe, scan, or test the Service's security, or interfere with its operation;
• reverse engineer the Service, or resell or sublicense access to it without our written permission;
• share your API key publicly or let others use your account.

If you register a phone number, you can text questions to the LookupLater number. Message and data rates from your carrier may apply. We only accept lookups from numbers you've registered to your account, and you can remove a number in Settings at any time.

The weekly email is optional. You can turn it off in Settings or with the link at the bottom of every email.

API access is provided through a personal key available in Settings. Keep it secret: any request made with your key is treated as coming from you. We may rotate, limit, or revoke keys to protect the Service, and we may change the API with reasonable notice.

You own the questions and other content you submit (“Your Content”). You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, process, and transmit Your Content, including sending it to our service providers, only as needed to operate and improve the Service for you. You're responsible for Your Content and confirm you have the right to submit it.

Please don't submit sensitive personal information (such as health, financial, or government ID details) in your lookups. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle your data.

The Service, including its software, design, and branding, belongs to LookupLater and its licensors. These terms don't grant you any rights to our trademarks or other intellectual property except the limited right to use the Service as described here.

The Service is currently free to use. If we introduce paid plans, we'll tell you the price and terms before you're charged, and you'll only pay if you choose to subscribe.

You can stop using the Service at any time, and you can delete your account from your account settings or by emailing support@lookuplater.app. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the Service. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including 3, 7, 11, 12, and 13) will survive.

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We don't promise the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that answers will be accurate or complete.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, LookupLater will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service or from any answer it provides. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or USD $50.

Some jurisdictions don't allow these limitations, so some of them may not apply to you.

You agree to defend and indemnify LookupLater against claims, damages, and costs (including reasonable legal fees) arising from Your Content or your breach of these terms.

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we'll change the date at the top of this page, and for material changes we'll give notice in the app or by email. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.

These terms are the entire agreement between you and LookupLater about the Service. If any part is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. Our not enforcing a provision isn't a waiver of it. You may not transfer these terms without our consent; we may transfer them as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
